How much is a reasonable price for one person in a house or apartment?

Depends on where you live, kind of like cable rates, gas prices, utility rates, etc. I used to live in a town where $400+util. was pretty normal. On the flip side I've heard crazy numbers for places like New York where people actually say a good price is "only" $2000 a month. Make sense? There's always something better out there so keep looking. Check the small papers in town, comb the big paper's classifieds every day, walk through town looking for flyers, check billboards where folks might post stuff from local folks wanting to rent out part of their home or apartment-tons of options but they take some footwork and extra time to find...but always worth it.
