Is my younger boyfriend to clingy & needy?

im 35 he is 24 it seemed like a good idea in the beginning but now im starting to question the relationship. im more of a free spirit non traditional type of person i do what i want when i want & don't care what other people say or think about my lifestyle because of this i find men my age boring & dull I tend to hang around people younger than me & they all think Im their age & don't believe me when i tell them im 35. So i met someone through my brother n law & we have allot in common. He stays at my apt most of the time & started paying a few bills (elec & gas) i wont let him pitch in on rent because i don't want him here all the time i like my privacy and alone time but when i tell him i need some space he gets all whiny & tries to talk me into letting him come over. its really annoying when he does that it actually pisses me off sometimes & i feel like he is acting like a 2 year old crying for his momma not to leave. he is a sweet guy & tries very hard to make me happy & he does but when he doesn't understand that we both need time apart or our own space it makes me question weather i want to stay with him or just break it off what should i do?
