Help, I ruined my itti bitti (MCN) nappies in the wash?

I accidentally washed them in normal (omo) washing powder and now they are leaking and repelling water. I've tried a few dishwashing liquid washes as recommended but it has made no difference. I have a front loader washing machine. Any ideas on how to fix them?
