How can you identify cats response to music?

I remember when my sister used to have 2 cats about a decade ago, whenever she would play R&B or Gospel music, the cats would relax to it. But I remember once when I played the Pink Floyd album "Dark Side of the Moon" (Released in 1973), the cats would crawl away. Is there something about the music from Pink Flyod that caused them to be repelled. How could they be attracted to the sounds of Gospel music and R&B and not Pink Floyd?
