If a guy annoys u, does he like u?

I have this guy friend that annoys the crap out of me, he annoys me all the time, but he has been starting to compliment me lately, at the most random things. He always annoys me on wat most ppl don't notice, like wen i got red highlights in my hair, he was the only one to notice, and be a smart elec about it. Its also really weird that when we make eye contact, i feel like that one glance lasts soooo much longer then any staring sontest i have ever been in.
