Is this normal? Am I being weird?

Unless you find yourself caring for him or getting emotionally attached to him, id say right now its just infatuation and intrigue. You want to be close to him just to figure him out that's all. You probably just want to know what makes him tick and why he is who he is in general. I think it definitely could lead to deeper feelings, the longer you obsess over these thoughts of him.
