What do you say to a friend who is upset due to an alcoholic parent?

My friend just texted me telling me about her alcoholic father who just yelled at her. He seems to be a generally good father that she normally speaks highly of... I think today he just went a little too far with the alcohol. I can't just tell her to come over because we are currently in different cities for the weekend. What can I say to comfort her?
